CONFIDENCE MEN do an improvised two-act play in the style of David Mamet.
What makes them unique? Everything: the rhythm, the style, the tone, and the willingness to go serious and/or dark. Called “a beautifully played bit of Mamet pastiche, sharp and fast as mob gunfire, that nails it to the f*cking wall,” by the Austin Chronicle, these guys relish every opportunity to push the quality and scope of their show even further.
They’ve toured extensively and picked up numerous awards along the way, including 2 B. Iden Payne Awards (it’s like the Tony Award of Texas), and being selected for the Seattle, Twin Cities, Kansas City, Red Dirt and Providence Improv Festivals.

This is not a show, this is a robbery. We are not here to entertain you, we are here to steal your hearts. We will also steal your women, but you will love us for it.
The show is a collection of improvised scenes with elements of storytelling, physical theatre, monologues, clown, poetry, songs, theatre of the absurd and audience participation, all inspired by Paris! It is an invitation to discover and explore the characters and the secrets, the stories and the atmospheres, the clichés and the harsh truth of old Paname, the fascinating and eternal City of Light, our hometown, Paris.
The Parisian Gentlemen of Paris is a team of veteran Parisian improvisers renowned for their charm and stage presence. They are all (almost) fluent and have no problem improvising in English with very cute French accents. Don’t worry about not understanding them, they’re very physical! They have a strong focus on storytelling and truthfulness, and even if they love a good laugh, they also like to keep their audiences on their toes with an “anything can happen” atmosphere.
The Parisian Gentlemen of Paris have already fallen in love in Vancouver (Valentine’s Day Massacre 2012), Seattle (SFIT 2012) and Honolulu (Improvaganza 2013), and they can’t wait to meet the splendid people of Austin.
