The Seven Eight Sevens - 1811

The Seven Eight Sevens perform a montage with an emphasis on variety. From monologues to group scenes, grounded to absurd, they playfully weave themes extracted from an audience suggestion into a dynamic show. The Seven Eight Sevens promise encounters with strong characters, intense and ridiculous situations, and interesting elements from start to finish.

The Seven Eight Sevens were originally cast by Austin improviser Jason Finkelman as a Gnap! house troupe with the vision of an improvised Portlandia for Austin. After the initial run, new cast members were added, and the troupe began playing at The Hideout, Salvage Vanguard Theater, Coldtowne Theater and the Institution Theater. The Seven Eight Sevens have expanded their format beyond their beloved Austin, and have performed in both the Dallas Comedy Festival and the Houston Improv Festival, all the while keeping their emphasis on comedy, playfulness and variety.

Claymore - 1563

Chicago, IL

Claymore takes a word of inspiration and turns it into a headfirst dive into the magical realm of the fantastical and bizarre. A fast and physical show that can only come from the trust of performing together for just under a decade.

Brian, Josh, Peyton and Tyler have improvised together for over nine years. The players' long history together, and their fine-tuned ability to playfully mess with each other, is the show's greatest strengths. Fresh off a run at the Annoyance Theater and a four year stint at The Playground Theater in Chicago, IL, this group has been lucky enough to perform at the Chicago Improv Festival, Del Close Marathon '11, Toronto Improv Festival and the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival.
