Mike and Irene (Michael Jastroch and Irene White) are two veteran improvisers who have appeared in countless sitcoms and movies. More accurately, Irene has appeared in countless sitcoms and movies and Mike was in a commercial once. As a duo, Mike and Irene focus on the absurdity of small moments, and the banality of the big ones.

Michael Jastroch has won several awards for his improv including "Best Comedy Group 2008" in the Austin Chronicle Reader's poll and the B. Iden Payne award for "Outstanding Improv Ensemble." His sketch project, Lovey and Lovey, won Best of Fest at the 2005 Lone Star Sketch Festival and the 2008 Frontera Fringe Festival as well as a Critic's Pick in the 2008 Austin Chronicle Reader's Poll. Michael is the Executive Director of the ColdTowne Theater where he teaches and directs sketch and improv shows regularly. He was nominated for best teacher at the Austin Improv Collective Awards and has taught improv workshops all over the country, including at the Oberlin College Improv Festival, the Gila Monster Improv Fest in Tuscon, Arizona and at the North Carolina Comedy Arts Festival in Chapel Hill.

Irene White hails from the great state of Texas where she graduated from UT - Austin. She has studied at the Second City in Chicago and IOWest and Steppenwolf West in Los Angeles. Her Chicago theatre work includes 'The All-Female Bonanza' at Live Bait Theatre and 'Chamber Music' at the Transient Theatre. Her Los Angeles theatre credits include 'Blue Window,' 'The Women,' 'The Red Coat' and her one-woman show 'Open to the Public.' Irene was nominated for a B. Iden Payne award for her performance as Ivy in ZACH Theatre's production of August: Osage County. Irene can be seen in lots of commercials and in episodes of 'Brothers & Sisters,' 'Friends,' 'Will & Grace,' and 'Scrubs.' Her recent credits include the films 'Green Hornet' and 'Spy Kids: All the Time in the World.'

The Scoundrels is Vince Portacci, Spencer Ham, Jeff Murdoch, and Ross Kimball, the four sweetest boys in Chicago. They perform their high octane improv all over Chicago and beyond.

Coldtowne Theater shows are Marathon-style, each group with 30 minutes of stage time. end to end, nonstop. Audience Members can sit in their chair as long as they like. from 6pm- 12mid with no reservations needed. First come first serve.

So if you want to be sure to see a show you may be well advised to show up a couple shows before the one you really want to see.
