Baby Wants Candy - 1857

Los Angeles, CA

BABY WANTS CANDY has performed over 2,000 completely improvised musicals around the world. BABY WANTS CANDY proves time and time again that the best stuff is spontaneous. The show begins with the cast asking the audience for a suggestion of a musical title that has never been performed before. Accompanied by a piano, the first title that the group hears becomes the title and theme for that evenings show. It’s a roller coaster ride of off the cuff choreographed dance numbers, rhyming verses, and witty jaw dropping comedy. Each performance is its own opening and closing night, and by design every show is completely unique and a once in a life time premiere. Start thinking of your title now!

Martin Garcia is a native of Austin, TX where he started improvising with local groups. Martin studied at The Improv Olympic, The Annoyance Theatre and The Second City in Chicago. He wrote and performed in 6 revues in The Second City ETC and Mainstage theaters, receiving Best Actor in a Revue nominations for his first two shows. Martin has also performed in Las Vegas and on cruise ships for The Second City. Martin’s TV credits include Early Edition, E.R. and The New Normal and the new The McCarthys pilot episode.

Amber Ruffin is an alum of European improv comedy institution, Boom Chicago. She has written and performed in 2 Second City Chicago Mainstage revues. Her TV credits include Key & Peele and Steve TV. She is currently performing her 2 woman show, "King of Kong: The Musical" in Los Angeles.

Amanda Blake Davis trained in Chicago at iO Chicago and The Second City. She performed with Virgin Daiquiri and The Armando Diaz Theatrical Experience and Hootenany. She wrote and performed in five original revues on The Second City’s etc Stage, for which she received a Jeff Award for Best Actress in a revue. She co-wrote the musical Broads on Boards (Annoyance Theater) and 50 Shades! The Musical currently on a US tour.

Tim Sniffen has been a member of Baby Wants Candy since 2001 and has joined them on tours to New York, Charleston and Edinburgh. He’s worked with the Boom Chicago theater in Amsterdam, and still works with The Second City, most recently writing and performing in The Second City’s Guide to the Opera alongside Renee Fleming and Patrick Stewart. Along with Baby Wants Candy, Tim regularly performs with The Improvised Shakespeare Company in Chicago and on the road.

The Lottery w/ Baby Wants Candy - 1859

Los Angeles, CA

The Lottery has become one of the fondest traditions of Out of Bounds. On the last night of the festival any performer in the audience who wishes to can put their name in a hat. If selected, they will get to hop up on stage with incredible veteran performers to play with -- and maybe learn a thing or two from -- the best in the world.

This year the big act that has graciously agreed to stick around and perform with our Lottery winners is Baby Wants Candy- the internationally touring, award-winning, MUSICAL improv group.

That's right, we're upping the ante' this year. It's a musical lottery, and it's going to blow the roof off (and put a perfect end to) Out of Bounds this year.

Signups will be at the box office before the show and four names will be drawn randomly at the start of the evening's show.
