They are a trio of good looking young improvisers, who have performed at Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, the Del Close Marathon, ImprovBoston's Beanpot Tournament, and the Chicago Improv Festival.

Galactic is husband and wife Joshua Gill and Lisa Jackson. Using deep character work, they explore the straight/absurd dynamic, often colliding the worlds of disparate characters.
Both Josh and Lisa have a deep abiding love for science fiction, and the heart of Galactic started in the genre. It is not uncommon for their shows to feature alien human relationships, time travel, deep space, and alternate universes. Each of their shows is a unique journey into their demented minds and often their loving relationship as well.

Lisa Jackson and Joshua Gill have been performing Improv for a combined total of almost 12 years. Josh has played weekly at ColdTowne Theater since 2011, and Lisa is a mainstage cast member at ColdTowne as well as a performer in many Hideout Theatre mainstage shows. Lisa also teaches improv at ColdTowne and The Hideout. Josh and Lisa have been married, to each other, since 2009.

What's the Story Steve? - 1709

Steve Scott, improvising poodle, is joined by a cast of adventurous improvisers in this unscripted exploration of a novel that's never been written. Taking their cues from the unexpected offers Steve provides throughout, the cast seeks to create a rich, funny world inhabited by normal characters in absurd situations. Though Steve is actually a dog, he generally chooses to play human characters in the show.

The members of What's the Story Steve have trained at Comedy Conservatories in Austin, New York, Chicago and Phoenix. They can be seen playing in various troupes throughout Austin 7 nights a week. As a group, they perform a longer, g-rated version of What's the Story Steve at ColdTowne Theater every Saturday morning for children and their adults. WTSS is Steve Scott, Kristin Henn, Amy Carpenter, Clint Harris, AJ Holler, Caitlin Baumgartner, Chris Baldenhofer, Drew Wesley, Luke Wallens and Frank Netscher. Steve may sit in your lap if you come to the show, but only when he really thinks it works for his character.

Put on your dancing shoes and step out to Winter Formal.

Winter Formal is a Chicago-based improv team, which performs regularly at iO Chicago. The group has performed in and around Chicago, and its members have performed at iO, Second City, the Annoyance, Chemically Imbalanced Comedy, The Dallas Comedy Festival, and the Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival. Members are graduates of iO Chicago's improvisation program, as well as the Second City Conservatory, and the Annoyance. They were Featured Performers at the Dallas Comedy Festival and won the Sketch vs. Sketch, Improv vs. Improv Cagematch at Stage 773.

Coldtowne Theater shows are Marathon-style, each group with 30 minutes of stage time. end to end, nonstop. Audience Members can sit in their chair as long as they like. from 6pm- 12mid with no reservations needed. First come first serve.

So if you want to be sure to see a show you may be well advised to show up a couple shows before the one you really want to see.
