Ratliff and JacksonAustin TX"We need a suggestion of something you have on or with you that has a lot of meaning for you." From that starting point, Ratliff & Jackson create a longform show that can go from hilarious to heartbreaking and back again, sometimes within seconds. They might play a two-person single scene, or they might play multiple characters in a series of scenes, depending on what happens in the moment. Because it's, y'know, improv. Two of Austin's most versatile improvisers, Lisa Jackson and John Ratliff are equally comfortable with realistic, emotionally grounded scenework and high-pitched, not-very-convincing British accents. OppositesAustinPatrick and Mark are dear friends who really want to hang out together, but their contrary personalities make it difficult for them to tolerate each other for very long. The only way they can express their true feelings to each other is by hiding behind improvised characters and situations that they create as the comedy duo Opposites. Come watch Opposites "communicate" through the use of multiple story lines, swapped characters, and colliding narratives. iZARZAMORA!Austin, TXBorn late in 2010, iZARZAMORA! is a direct descendant of David Lampe and Estevan "Chuy" Zarate. The current cast also features Kevin Miller and Brad Hawkins. The troupe is highly dependent on an acute sense of fun and an inflated perception of their combined intelligence, which frequently is proved to be severely over-estimated. iZARZAMORA! will be performing their newest format, "The Life" in which all the fundamental, fomative occurences and events which contribute to making a character who they are and in setting the stage for all their accomplishments; will be acted out on stage in episodic fashion.
