Ravi Kiran

Ravi Kiran's performances are a mix of absurd non-sequiturs, one-liners, and longer jokes about his strange take on life. Many of his jokes are "time-release" jokes, which take a moment or two to register with the audience.

Ravi Kiran has been performing since 2007. In addition to his adventures in stand-up, he is also the writer/director/editor of the sketch video group SnuggleBiscuit.

Previous Festival Appearances:
- Semi-finalist, Funniest Comic in Dallas, 2010

Gavin Stephens

Known for his (really) quick-wit and organic stream of consciousness comedic style, Gavin's live show consists of surreal crowd work and improv, mixed with sharp, innovative and satirical material.

Gavin was named the reader's choice winner for best standup comedian from 'Now Magazine' in 2010, and for five seasons was a lead actor and writer on the Gemini-nominated sketch show 'Comedy Inc.' on CTV. A multi-media sensation, Stephens has filmed multiple one-man specials for The Comedy Network, has been a 'Featured Comedian' on myspace.com, and appeared at international festivals like Montreal's Just For Laughs and Austin's SXSW with indie comedy legends Margaret Cho, Janeane Garofalo and Andy Kindler.

Rob Ryan

Rob Ryan's style is a perfect blend of clean, relatable observational humor wrapped in an energetic delivery. Audiences love that Rob not only shares the thoughts parading through his mind but he shows them, with vivid characters and spot-on delivery. Rob's intelligent witticisms combined with his infectious story telling make his shows not only entertaining but unforgettable. To tell you any more though would be giving it away.

Rob Ryan, like many comedy greats, hails from Long Island and has taken New York City by storm. He is a presence in the NYC scene performing nightly. He Headlines at Colleges across the country and was also recently voted the 'Funniest Person on Long Island.' Rob is a contributing writer for a number of sketch comedy groups in New York and L.A. and has recently teamed up with 'The Reel Public,' an on-line sketch comedy group, writing several on-line viral video hits for them. His work has been described as "witty" and "almost genius" by the DC Shorts Film Festival.

Kara Klenk

Kara Klenk performs her witty mix of stories and punch lines all over New York City as well as Boston, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and other zip codes. She has appeared on SpikeTV, The TVGuide Network, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Nick-at-Nite, Comedysmack.com, and Comedy Central's Atom.com. She was a semi-finalist in the 2009 New York Comedy Contest and performed at the 2011 Women in Comedy Festival in Boston. She was featured in Time Out New York for the Joke of the Week and was nominated for TONY Joke of Year.

Jarret Berenstein

Jarret Berenstein performs sharp and intelligent stand up comedy of exceptional quality, and only resorts to curses and references to body parts when it is a matter of life or death. He is exactly as funny as surgery is serious. Also, the New York Times called him "handsome" once.

Jarret Berenstein is a writer and comedian living in New York City. Born in Los Angeles, he moved east in 2001 and has been performing stand up and comedic improv there ever since. He has participated in comedy festivals all over the country (and Canada!) and can frequently be seen at Comic Strip Live, New York Comedy Club, and The Magnet Theater, as well as random bars and also his apartment.

Adam Newman

Adam's stand-up is comprised of personal stories from his life. Nothing from his childhood, family, or personal relationships is off limits.

Have you ever pulled a plastic bag out of your friend's dog's butt? Gone skydiving as Ernest from the Ernest movies? Ridden the ET kid's ride at Universal Studios with your dad as an adult? Adam has, and he'll tell you all about it in a series of hilarious stories. He's a nice, likable young man.

Adam used to get laughs between songs his band played in Athens, GA. The band broke up and Adam was still funny, so he moved to New York to be a comedian. After studying improv at The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre and acting in countless CollegeHumor Original videos, Adam appeared on MTV's The CollegeHumor Show and FNMTV, Comedy Central's Atom TV, ESPN's NFL Writer's Room, and The Tyra Banks Show.

His stand-up credits include performances at the New Orleans Comedy Arts Festival, North Carolina's Laugh Your Asheville Off Festival, and the New York Comedy Festival. Adam was named one of Comedy Central's Comics to Watch in 2010, and has been featured in Time Out New York and The New York Daily News.
