Meet Cute by Volunteering at OoB!

Megan Mowry and Cagney Ortiz are alums of ColdTowne Theater and The Hideout Theater, 2015 OOB volunteers, improv duo partners, and real life partners. This piece was composed at home on their computer exactly as you see it. One person would write and the other would respond, essentially like an improvised written “conversation.” The content was not pre-planned. They only decided to talk about how they met volunteering at OOB in 2015. They wrote it on August 16th 2016.

Dave Buckman’s thoughts on People of Earth

“Sometimes you go through improv classes at iO in the 90’s and there’s another group of dudes who go through classes parallel to you. They’re so good right away and they click in a way and on a level that makes you crazy jealous. A dream team of alphas. Charna loves them and dotes on them and you wish you could be as good as them and have her shower you with all that love and attention. You wish you could hate them. You really try to too.” – Dave Buckman
